How many of you have made a new year resolution to not see it last? I know I have, many times. According to statistics, most new year’s resolutions last just 3.74 months and nearly 80% of resolutions are abandoned by February!!!
If you have a resolution to lose weight, maintain an optimal weight or eat healthy — then read on.
I want to share some simple tips that help me.
- Make it simple.
- Intentionally think about the resolution every day.
For 2026, I have made a resolution to eat healthy and lose some weight. My goal is to lose 10-15 lbs.😊
I wrote down my 7 bullet points on a POST-IT note. I read the note every morning and it helps.
- EXERCISE DAILY
- NO ALCOHOL (or very limited)
- NO DESERT / NO CANDY
- AVOID PROCESSED FOODS
- EAT LOTS OF WHOLE FRUITS/VEGGIES
- LOW SALT DIET — NO ADDED SALT (less than 2 grams of Na+ is preferred)
- DRINK LOTS OF WATER
In addition, it helps to monitor your weight daily.
If you are so inclined, try these techniques and give it a few weeks. I feel the weight pulling off, fit better in my clothes, feel better about myself when I look in the mirror, feel less bloated, have less acid reflux and have less pain (less joint aches and pains).
Happy 2026! Thank you for letting me partner in your health goals!
